Parental Control Settings

Parental Control Rating

Blocks playback of rated DVDs based on

their content. Not all discs are rated.

1 Press SETUP.

2 Select “LOCK” > “Rating”.

3 Enter your password using the 0-9

keys.

• If this is your ﬁrst visit, you will be

prompted to enter and verify your

“New Password”.

4 Select the desired Rating from

“1(Kids)” to “8(Adult)”, then press EN

TER.

• Choose “No Limit” to disable the

Parental Control feature.

• Playback of discs that exceed the

set rating will be blocked unless

you enter the correct password.

Changing the Password

Changes the Parental Control password.

1 Press SETUP.

2 Select “LOCK” > “Set Password” >

“Change”.

3 Enter your old password using the 0-9

keys.

4 Enter your new password.

5 Re-enter your new password.

Country Code

Selects the country whose standards

were used to rate the disc.

1 Press SETUP.

2 Select “LOCK” > “Area Code”.

3 Enter your password using the 0-9

keys.

4 Enter the desired Country Code from

the list on page 56.

NOTE:

• If you forget your password, press

SETUP to display the Setup menu,

then press 2-1-0-4-9-9. Select “Yes”

and press ENTER.
